Join inspiring teacher Jim Cutsinger to practice and learn the unique form of Golden Lion Qigong (chee-gúng) that adapts ancient Chinese health exercises and meditation with state of the art fitness principles. Qi, the indescribable, intelligent force that animates the world, is unseen, but with this practice you can experience this qi as your own vitality and nature.

The Practice

The exercises are flowing, full body movements synchronized with the breath and mindful attention. Each movement is designed for specific aspects of your Being. The exercises are easy to learn and modify for a more gentle or dynamic practice. Repetition develops a high quality of movement, awareness and attunement.

•    Create balance, strength, grace, confidence, and well being

•    Radiate the embodiment of Centered Vitality.

•    Learn Self Health Care

•    Directly experience and express Qi- a  practice for Life!

•    Be attuned to inner guidance and your emerging  self

At 38, he created the “Conscious Deep Bodywork” method which he taught at the Diamond Light School of Healing and Massage in Marin County for 5 Years. He has shared his teachings through retreats, seminars and trainings and is the creator of Golden Lion Qigong.

Jim has been a professional musician since age 16, and was the founder of Meadowgate Music Productions in Montecito. Jim Cutsinger experienced a serious disc injury at 14 that triggered degenerative joint disease and chronic pain throughout his spine. As a result of this, he embarked on a life time study of healing practices. At 48 years old he overcame 6 years of severe carpal tunnel syndrome with 3 days of exercise! At 58 he overcame 44 years of back pain and restricted mobility through adding new teachings to the Qigong practice he had been doing for 15 years. Unexpectedly what he learned then unleashed the energy and capacities of an athlete. Join us to learn what he discovered. Learn the practices that not only heal but also increase your overall health and vitality regardless of illness or age.

Jim is a gifted teacher that makes this practice easily accessible to both beginners and more experienced students. After a few sessions, I have been able to practice on my own and am feeling more grounded and present and alive. Check out his class. You’ll be glad you did.

This subtly powerful holistic tradition of healing both taught and embodied by Jim has been a gift to me. A post-surgical complication was increasingly limiting my life in both quality, comfort and mobility when I started Jim’s Qi Gong practice. Because the practice is breath-based, balanced, slow, and self-modulated, my body responded and I gently began to heal organically. For people who are healing from physical or psychic wounds, I recommend Jim’s offering unequivocally.

Jim’s knowledge of whole mind and body training will be a help to anyone seeking that perfect fitness routine. I can’t recommend my brother strongly enough. As a testament to his fitness level he and I powered through a hike up to the top of Cold Springs trail in Santa Barbara. This hike is 8 miles with 2700 feet in elevation change. He practically ran up it.

Qi Gong will help you achieve good physical conditioning while slowing the cascade of thoughts in your mind down to a manageable level. I recommend it!
